At a Glance: Deputy Director's Office, Department of Women's Affairs, Manikganj.

1. Human Resource Development and Self-Employment:

দক্ষ Under the Women Skills Based Training Program for Livelihood, training is imparted to 100 women in 5 trades, 20 in each batch for a period of 3 months.

৩০ Under the Women Skills Enhancement Program (IGA) project, 30 women are trained in each batch for a period of 6 months in computer servicing trade.

 Women Training Center (at Upazila level): In the office of Upazila Women Affairs Officer, Shibalaya and Saturia, Manikganj, a one-year modern tailoring science trade is imparted to 30 persons in each batch.

2. Poverty alleviation and job creation

লক্ষ So far, 6 women have been provided under the micro-credit program for the purpose of creating self-employment for women. The money has been lent. Disbursement rate is 7%.

3. Socio-economic development and social security

. Bangladesh program in search of victory

 Under the program titled Bangladesh in Search of Jayita, 5 Jayitas are awarded in 5 categories at divisional, district and upazila level on 9th December every year.

. Volunteer Women's Association Organization and Registration:

 There are 6 registered voluntary women's associations in Manikganj Sadar Upazila so far. Of these, 51 are active and 49 are inactive.
